Aurivo names Make-A-Wish\u00ae Ireland as Charity Partner for 2022<\/p>\n

\u200bAurivo Co-Operative today announced Make-A-Wish\u00ae Ireland as its charity partner for 2022. Over the next 12 months, Aurivo employees will organise fundraising events for Make-A-Wish\u00ae Ireland as part of the co-op\u2019s Charity of the Year Programme and the co-op will match employees fundraising to raise a targeted \u20ac40,000 for the children\u2019s charity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Aurivo Charity of the Year partnership was introduced in 2007 to support charity organisations throughout Ireland, who require much needed funds to ensure the continuation of essential services for worthy causes. This year, Aurivo selected Make-A-Wish as their charity of choice.<\/p>\n

Aurivo staff members, stakeholders and customers will unite over the next 12 months to raise funds for the chosen charity, Make-A-Wish Ireland, with their team of over 650 employees and a network of 34 stores, 4 livestock marts, production plants and headquarters, all getting involved in the Charity of the Year programme. <\/p>\n

Commenting on the announcement, Donal Tierney, Chief Executive, Aurivo<\/strong>, said:\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s hard to believe we are in our 16th year of Aurivo\u2019s Charity of the Year programme, something I am personally very proud of. This year we have selected a very worthwhile children\u2019s charity, Make-A-Wish Ireland. We understand that the current climate has been extremely difficult for the charity sector and for Make-A-Wish who rely entirely on public donations to carry out their services. To know that the funds we raise can deliver wishes to so many children living with life-threatening illnesses is really something. To know that for even one day, those children will forget about their illness and that their wish will bring happiness into their lives, that is what we are hoping to achieve. To date, with the help of our employees and customers, we have raised \u20ac500,000 for Irish charities and I have no doubt that 2022 will be our best year yet!<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

Make-A-Wish Ireland has one simple aim \u2013 to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, bringing hope, strength, and happiness. There are over 200 children living with life-threatening illnesses on Make-A-Wish Ireland\u2019s waiting list for their wishes to be granted. The funding raised by Aurivo will go a long way to reduce this waiting list and make their wish become a reality. <\/p>\n

We hear time and again how the impact of a wish forms part of a child\u2019s treatment process and recovery. These funds will go a long way in granting truly memorable wishes for our wish children and their families.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

Aurivo will host various fundraising initiatives that raise money for our chosen charity, including stationary bike cycles, 5km walks or runs, golf classics, raffles, and coffee mornings. \u00a0<\/p>\n
